OK, maybe not demise, but I still can't use it. I guess I don't know much about the coding world, but I'm kind of surprised he doesn't turn these plugs loose for someone else to maintain, it's obvious that there's at least a small market for them.
I'll the Rocket a shot.
any more?
thanks

Intel Blockfish replacement
Hi all. I finally had to move on to an intel Mac, and my VST folder is a withered shadow of what it used to be. It's probably for the better. I didn't need all that stuff anyway. But for Blockfish. All the threads here just sing its' praises and woe its' demise, but offer little for replacements. I ...

Rock & Roll for the whole family
Hey all. I've heard of some punk/rock shows (a series, or a monthly thing) somewhere in the Mid-West where the whole family is welcome. It looked like a great time, and I'd like to replicate it. Not Kid's shows, but real rock shows where they just turn it down a hair and watch their language a littl...

funny, I'd seen this on another forum and been meaning to check it out. I just signed up today , then saw your post. Everything you mentioned works great. I wish it had a better 'find things/genres you like' function, or 'if you like this...', but that would require good tagging by users. The free a...

I've been shopping ebay for a cheapie for my 4 yr old. You can get a perfectly adequate, if not very good, 4-5 MP Canon, Sony or Nikon for <$50. No Question. 4-5 MP is plenty for ebay shots ( and more ). Get a tiny little tripod with flexi legs for around $10, and check out this cat's light box . In...

studio building article
Here's an article from the mid-80's on studio building.
I've been renovating the shit out of my house and ran across it in other research.
I actually haven't read it, please let me know if it's worth while.
And if you own it, sorry. I'll remove it.

4 track roundup?
Howdy. I love my Tascam 424, but I can't sacrifice the desk space right now. Don't give me a hard time, I really can't. I know I've seen smaller 4 tracks. There was a Yamaha from the same era, MT-something, how was that? how about the porta-studios with the cool clear/colored knobs. Recently there h...

Re: How can i postmy stuff for you to listen to?
I want everyone to hear my music and i don't know how to post it to the web. Can anyone help me? Please consult my entertaining and educational post on the subject a while back . The replies are helpful as well. My follow up post comes from a more melancholy, but enlightened place. I'm still on thi...

Alphabet Soup was reviewed in the mag some time back. It's exactly what you're looking for. It's simple, intuitive, and flexible. It's $10 more than you want, but really, it's exactly what you want.

I was briefly enamored of Songfight! and its cousin somesongs . I wrote about it here . (scroll down for songfight entries. With Songfight they give you a title and a deadline and people vote on the submitted songs. I really enjoyed the deadline, and it got me out of a period of non-productivity. Ul...

edit: fileden's free accounts only stream at 100kbps, which means if you're putting up songs in decent quality (192<) then your users will need to wait a few seconds before the song is ready to stream. I did think it was a touch slow. For my needs, the speed is adequate. What's a normal streaming s...
