Neve preamps(non tube) have a fantastic distortion, very usable, very very cool. Someone explained the reason for this to me a while back(but of course I can't remember). It might be becouse of the opamp that's used in the API's(I don't beleive there are any opamps in Neves) The transformers in the...

Along the same lines, I need some really isolated headphones. I do a lot of mobile recording and last night I was recording in the same room as a drumkit using open back headphones. It sucked having to step into a bedroom and shut the door in order to monitor. Any recommendations for headphones that...

I don't know the math, would a 48/24 file be the same size as a 96/16 file? Does one tax processor resources more than the other? CMD (Apple) or CTRL (PC) + 1-7 will select the magnifier (1) throught the smart tool (7). Also, the F keys starting at F5. Should be in the manual.
