FS: Gtrs, Eden amp, misc studio junque

Here's my list. Have a look! I'll gladly answer any questions. Jerry Jones Baritone Guitar $500 -Black body and headstock, rosewood fingerboard, two lipstick p.u.?s. Totally clean and includes original hardshell case and extra set of strings. This thing smokes the recent Dano copies, in my opinion. ...

Dano Hodad repair?

I really need some help from the guitar tech types. I broke the stem off the p/u selector switch on my Hodad and tried to replace it. I got a replacement three-way switch from Allparts and dropped it in. I soldered everything back exactly the way it was BUT the middle position (e.g. both p/u's on) d...

Re: Monitor Stands Specifically for Non-Level Surfaces

I think you could modify any store-bought or homemade speaker stands by adding some kind of adjustable feet. You can get T-nuts at the hardware store and pound them into the base. Use a bolt as the foot. You could then adjust the bolts up or down as needed to level. Or you could get some proper adju...

As painful as it is for me to have to sell it, I have to let this thing go. Here's the link for anyone who might be interested:

Re: ungrounded outlets...again.

Have you checked to make sure that each and every outlet has open ground? I am in the same situation as you (very old building in Brklyn), but found that one particular outlet had been installed relatively recently and presumably for an air conditioner. (It is right by the front window.) The ground ...

Re: has anyone used the smokey amp

I've said it on here before, but I'll say it again. Here's my personal favorite Smokey amp trick: Get the plastic case version (rather than ciggie pack version) and stick the speaker end IN YOUR MOUTH! Beats any wah wah pedal or Frampton-ish Talk Box you've ever tried!

Re: Why I Hate The "D.Funk" Message Threads

I kinda wish there had only been one response to the original post. Something like:

"Please move your post to the "Studio Listings" Forum. Thanks."

Maybe I'm just a party pooper, but I shudder to think about how much time was burnt up on all the back and forth.

Re: WTB: 1/2" takeup reel for Tascam TSR-8

Last time I was in New Jersey Factory Service (Rt. 17, Paramus) they had several "new in box" 1/2" reels. I picked up a couple but can't remember how much they were. $10 maybe?

See http://www.njfactoryservice.com/home.html

As for a manual, I have one so PM me about making a copy.

Re: B & W Speaker suggestions

My girlfriend has a pair of DM 602 S2's and I think they are outrageously good. They are so revealing that it is downright painful when I make test mixes and play them on her stereo since these speakers bring out all the good and ALL the bad in a mix. (I've often considered nicking them and using th...

Re: cheap powered monitors $350ish and down

I have the early Alesis M1 Actives and agree that the bass is tricky. I have never really gotten totally accustomed to these monitors. My solution has been to keep the my equivalent to your "$8 yard sale" speakers up next to them and compare back and forth. It is only through comparison that I can g...

Re: What happened to Danelectro guitars?

Well, if they stopped making guitars I think that is a real shame. Dirty little secret: I LIKE crappy guitars! I went through an Airline, a Silvertone and a Harmony Stratotone before I picked up some of the new Danos and they really continued in that line, just with better tuners and slightly better...

What happened to Danelectro guitars?

I'm talking about the Korean reissues, not the original ones. I just discovered that none of the big dealers stock them anymore and the Danelectro.com site no longer has a link to its guitar section. What the Hell is going on? Did the company give up on them ? Are they all "discontinued"? Tell me it...

Re: audio selector switches?

I got one of the Furman switchers (http://www.furmansound.com/pro/srm-80a/srm-80a.htm) when they first came out and really love it. It totally simplified my set-up and added a few handy things I didn't have, namely a 'Mono' switch and a 'Dim' switch. Also, it allows for one pair of powered monitors ...
