A coupla' things I try to do; A) Tune the snare to what I like. (90% of the time, I don't end up with a bad ring) B) Try a flag of gaff or two. Put em' in line with the lugs, between the lug and the snares. C) Take off the top head and tape a small wad of gauze or felt to the inside, just off of cen...

Just another slow day here... Started the day with a 6am run to bLowe's for shingles and lumber for the outdoor smoker's lounge. Put up drip edge and the last of the felt paper. Called and checked on a gear rental - made sure their sessions are going ok. Met with a rep about getting some imprinted c...

Most insurance companies don't wanna tell you about what it called an "Inland Marine Policy"...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inland_marine_insurance
Usually cheaper than a full on commercial policy, not quite as comprehensive, but for the smaller/part-time operation, it can be a very good choice.

I've been head down for the last coupla days, and missed out on the "newness" of the post, but hope I'm not too late to the party. I looked into MusicPro, MusicPro is a decent company, but their rates aren't really the best if you shop around. I found a standard $1,000,000/2,000,000 business policy ...

When the band is in the room, and the intern says; "We were talking in the other room, and we think you need to ____________." What's this "we" crap? Have the common sense to NOT make this confrontational and adversarial... This kind of comment should be between the engineer and the intern ONLY... a...

Red Oak Brewery . Mighty tasty suds! Plus there's quite a lively music scene in the region. Gimme a shout, love to ha...

Also, I have been asked if I would consider broadcasting the panel discussion. I can definitely do this ...

Asking us jackases about legal stuff is not smart bcause we are not accountable for correct answers. I know, you think we'll probably hit it right. Well, what if we're just a lil off? What if it costs you your rights? GET A LAWYER! Seriously, get a lawyer, you need one. You need lots of things in a...

I've been in NC for 25 years, so I'm a bit out of touch, but there's plenty to "do and see" in Louavul... Churchill Downs is a must. There might be some short trips on The Belle of Louisville that are available. Hadley Pottery is another Louisville tradition. The Juggernaut Jug Band is playing at Ji...
