I am looking to buy a fairly inexpensive ($300+or-) compressor primarily for vocals and acoustic guitar. I've considered a DBX 160A but it sounds like those are better for bass and drums. Has anyone used one for vocals or acoustic guitar? What other compressors do people like? Thanks!

I've been using the UAD-1 stuff for a while now and find myself using them all the time. They are a good compliment to the Wave's compressors. I would highly recommend them if you can afford it.

I use a an M-Audio Delta 1010 with Cubase SX and have had absolutlely no problems. Ultimataly I would like to get something with better D/A converters like a Apogee Rosetta, but there is a huge price jump there. The 66 is good choice if you don't need to many inputs/outputs.
