Couple things for sale in NYC... MPC 2000XL and a few others

I have a couple things that I'm not using much anymore, so I figured someone on here might need them. All prices include shipping, or we can work out a pick up if you're in NYC. Hit me up if you would like to see pics of any of the items. MPC 2000 XL: Maxxed out with everything, including a compact ...

For what you are looking to do, you could just keep an eye on craigslist and pick up a Powerbook for a fair price. I see them for a good price and anything with a 1 ghz processor and up would be fine for running soft synths as long as you bump your ram up.

I was thinking about nabbing one of these as a cheap converter upgrade to my mbox, with some extra ins. I'd be running it into the mbox via spdif so I realize I'd still only have 2 tracks into pro tools but would it be worth it? Hmmmm.

Anyone using Logic 8 on an original MacBook with only 1 gig of ram? I'm using 8 on a non-intel ibook 1.42 GHZ with 2 GB of RAM and it ain't pretty (recording to an external firewire PPA drive). I literally have a couple organ audio instruments open, space designer and a compressor on the bus, and e...

FA: Soundtracs Topaz 18-4 & MPC 2000

Putting up some stuff so I can streamline my operation a little. Planning on moving around a little so a mpc 1000 is in my near future. Any questions just give me a shout.

Need new gear, but in what order?

So I'm working on upgrading my entire set up. I mainly work in the realm of hip hop and also dabble in instrumental side projects (Bonobo, Shadow etc..) and I'm trying to figure out what to purchase and the order in which to purchase. Right now my set up consists of an mbox, a soundtracs topaz 14 ch...

Here is a related question. I'm thinking about consolidating my headphones as I currently use AKG 240s for recording at home and Sony MDR-700's for DJ gigs. Would the HD-280s be suitable for a loud club environment? Is there a better choice for my needs? Thanks.

Thoughts on the Soundtracs topaz 18-4

Hi all. Looked around and did the utfsf for the topaz board and found a few threads on some of the larger topaz boards. Just picked one up (s18-4)for what I think is a steal and just looking for any input on what the strengths and weaknesses of this board may be. Any input would be rad. Thanks.

FS: Microkorg, Oxygen 8 MIDI Keyboard, Alesis Midiverb 4

Trying to get some loot together for a new lapper so I'm letting go of a few things. All prices include shipping to the lower 48. None of the items have the original boxes, but they will be packaged very well. I ship items the way I would like to receive items. Korg Microkorg is in perfect shape, ne...

No apologies needed, thanks for the info. I've been on the mpc forums alot lately trying to piece together what works and what doesn't. I guess you can mount a cf reader inside the 2000 but it requires flipping the scsi port inwards and splitting it. Not something I feel comfortable doing. I'll have...

WTB: Microtech PCD-40 SCSI Card Reader for mpc 2000

Hello all, looking for an external card reader for my mpc 2000. Just wondering if anyone on the board had one laying around, as I've been unable to find a retail outlet that still has them in stock. If you happen to have a case with no drive in it that'll work too. Thanks.

I think the plug is called JKimpulse but I could be wrong...Anyhow look up my user name and you'll see it from approx. 6months ago... JKimpulse is correct and it's so good. You can get to his site through the plug in stickie at the top of the page. I also recommend the the JK phone plug in. It's go...
