The 101 was my first "good" pre. There was a big differance from all the cheapy pres that i was using. There was a sweet review of it in some tape op over a year ago, maybe somebody knows which one. Wow, great response guys. But nobody has answered about reversing the phase (vs. the OHs) of a recorded hat to tame it. Has anybody done this?

Part of the problem is when drummers go "TSH tsh tsh tsh TSH tsh tsh tsh" to keep time, etc - used effectively, a hi hat is an instrument. I've seen it done in magazines. Is this done to later reverse the phase durring mixing and thus cancel/control the hats? Should i try this at home or is it too dangerous . Any hints/tips people?
