Problem w/ KRK V8's

So, I've been using mine for about two years, and now they don't sound right. They once shared an AC outlet w/ my stove following a Panamax Line Conditioner. (I live in a 100 year old bldg - it was the only plug to use within 10 feet!) Anyway, when I send it anything below 70hz, I get a fluttery sou...

Avenson Audio STO-2 Matched Mics

Anybody have an opinion on these? I read they're decent, and for $500 the price seems insane for a matched pair.

Re: List of schools

save your money and go to every studio in DC for an internship. there are a ton of indie studios near the city and surrounding areas. not many places care about what you know - can you take out the trash and make coffee? are you cool? hired. learn a shit-ton for about six months, and then compare a ...

Re: Digidesign admited G5 ProTools DIGI 002 Freeze Up Proble

donut, i feel your pain. one of the new g5s in the studio hasn't worked well since we got it. exact same problems you are having. of course the apple store contantly gives us shit about our warrantee, troubleshooting, etc and digi has no clue. sometimes buying the 'latest-greatest' can suck.

Re: Avril Lavigne's roots

rodgre, check http://www.romanline.com and click to 'journal' for some information. most of the site is about samatha moore (another 15 year old canadian pop sensation for girls to spend their disposable income on), but the label kept up the avril stuff as well. we all know that few of these artists...

Re: need help recording sound effects of cars

if you can, a good bet is renting a car. for the money, you can rag it out and get as many great sounds as you want. accellerating, screeching, maybe not crashing, but you get the gist. why use your own car? a DAP-1 works great - got mine for $600 on ebay w/ a couple extras like lead-acid 4hr batter...

Re: SPDIF questions
