Cool, I'll check that out. Any comments about Bushwick? I've heard mixed things about the area. Sean...I'm definitely looking to have my own room. I've shared rooms before, but am in the market for that private space. When are you looking to move? Anyone else with any ideas/friends in need of a room...

Brooklyn Apartment? Loft? House?

Hey all, It's been a little while since I've posted. I just got a job in NYC working with film nd theatre, and am moving from Boston. I need to find an apartment for August and beyond. It's always nice to live with people with similar interests (music, recording, art, etc), so I thought I'd give thi...

MBox 2 Phantom Power Issue

Hey guys- It's been a little while since I've posted. I searched for this topic, but couldn't find anything. So...here it goes. I have a PowerBook G4 1.67GHz with 1GB of ram. Running Mac OS X 10.4.4. I got an MBox 2 in early February. Used it semi-regularly, but just started using it on a much more ...

WTB: Analog Drum Machine

Hey...

I'm looking for a drum machine to use for a performance art type project. Something along the lines of a roland CR-68, CR-78,TR-66, CR-8000...etc. It doesn't have to be in perfect shape, but I need to be able to use it occaisonally live. Let me know if you have something. Thanks!

Re: FS: Cool Farfisa "portorgan"

I just got a farfisa pianorgan and have already started using it on some recordings. The sound of the farfisa is great. I encourage everyone to get one.

BOSTON

I'm searching for some people who might be interested in starting a project of sorts. I'm looking to have a unique sound. I listen to a lot of different types of music. Here are some bands who's style I would like to incorporate but never mimic...The Olivia Tremor Control, The Dandy Warhols, The Bea...

FS: Ovation 1778 Elite - Guitar

I have had this guitar for about 5 years. It plays great and sounds great (especially plugged in). I am the original owner, and it's in excellent shape. I just got a new acoustic, and although I'd love to keep both, for financial reasons I just can't. I'm asking $750 or best offer. My digital camera...

I realize this isn't directly recording related, but I know that many of you (like me) are also interested in video, film, and photography as well as recording. So here it is. I just got back from being on the road for a little over a month. I saw a lot of the country and took a lot of great picture...

Re: Critique my bands bio please?

cassette... Here you go. I like it and it's funny as shit, but it doesn't get much real information about the band out there. Clearly you know that, and you were probably going for that, but as someone who might read your bio and listen to a track and consider going to see you; I don't feel like I h...

Re: Lollapalooza cancelled.

Last year it was Field Day Fest, and this year it's lollapalooza. The thing is, even if some of the bands set up smaller shows throughout the summer, it isn't the same as a festival setting. For me, the ability to wander from stage to stage, band to band, beer tent to beer tent is glorious.

Re: How helpful is this forum?

I think this section is a great idea, but not enough people frequent it. I'm not sure how long this section of the board has been around, as I'm a relatively new user, but it seems like over time it could slowly gain momentum and become more and more frequented and useful.

Re: Oldest song ever

I had to write a paper on ancient greek music last year, and I was very surprised at how advanced a lot of their music was. If you are really interested in the topic there is a book by M.L. West called Ancient Greek Music, and it really has everything you would ever need to know about the topic. The...
