I use my Baby Bottle on a guitar amp somewhere on every single session, and there are a lot more expensive alternatives available. I'm not familiar with that preamp, but that mic will serve you for a long time even as you get more pricey pieces.

I used to think I loved my SG Standard until I broke it and replaced it with a Les Paul Studio. Seriously. It wasn't planned, but it did improve my tone.

I use a Big Muff, Vintage Rat, Turbo Rat, and Fulltone Full Drive 2. They are all pretty different, but I'd say the Vintage Rat is the most useful overall.

Anyone interested. I just used it earlier today. It sounds great, I just need to get more compressors. Like I said the mic works, and it comes with the step-up transformer that boosts the signal aabout 12 dB and improves the sound to my ears. $400 plus shipping.
