Anyone else using lala.com to check out music?

I'm really enjoying using it so far. You can stream any song in it's entirety once every 24 hrs or unlimited streams for $.10. Then buy the mp3 for $.89, plus you get 50 free tracks when you sign up. I've been using it to check out tons of stuff.

Any other tape opers onto this?

seems like this is one of those instances where you mute the channels when no one is paying attention then move the faders around some, nod approvingly, smile real big, and turn to the band and say, "sound awesome doesn't it!"

Boss SD-1 isn't that bad, and usually fetch about $40 used online. Some of the small guyatone stuff is interesting, too. +1 on the superoverdrive. killer pedal, little money. all this coming from a guy who is the chief designer for a boutique pedal company... I don't dislike the sound of mine so mu...

before you spend money on plugin amp simulators you should really try these free alternatives:

Aradaz Amps
Simulanalog Suite
Juicy 77 Hi gain amp
Stuido Devil free amp sim
Dirthead

If you have a good input signal (DI/preamp) you can get ridiculously good sounds! Google away.
