i have one of those, in the original box (as seen in the photo by easygo).
definitely interested in that mod to balance it and make it 48v capable... i hate it as is with an on/off switch with a AA battery...

i know a guy who records every performance of the major orchestra in my area... he busses everything through reverb; given, it's usually four mics, but he pours the reverb on. and people eat it up. and it sounds good. the reason is, the orchestra and directors think, "MY hall made that sound?! aweso...

When the side mic is duplicated, panned and inverted, the "right lobe" of the left channel and the "left lobe" of the right channel are cancelled out. This leaves only the "left lobe" in the left channel and the "right lobe" in the right channel. Now these are 180 degrees out of phase from one anot...

the only way that should work is aux track with bus i/O to audio track with that aux out as it's input. that'll record/play them back when recording it or mixing down... as for them not showing up... what's your playback engine and hardware setup looking like? preferences? think of stuff that might ...

instead of a metronome, program a simple drum machine beat: maybe a shaker on the beat or even just on the 2 and 4. that way a little bleed into the drum mics wouldn't be distracting. depending on the song, of course, as this might not always work. be creative. i know guys who do this a lot. during...

are you set on a laptop? i used to use a powerbook g4 to record with. it was great; it was old. when it started to die, i looked at replacing it, only to find my wallet and the powerbook's prices not lining up quite right. so, i bought an iBook G5 and have never been happier. compact, big screen, e...

Now isn't the best time to get a powerbook. Heard something about the new intel powerbooks being released early next year. Always a risk going with the first batch. this is true. if it were possible to wait a few months or so, you could pick up the enhanced/second/fixed edition of these intel beast...

see as of late i've been working on electronic albums... a lot of great kick samples exist that make a rocking dance song, namely if they involve Jacques Lu Cont at all. genius, that one. and i'll go with kevin gilbert's "shadow self" as best kick sound ever, because of the breakdown with the kick i...
