How did you set the RNC when doing this?

I love my RNC. It can get extreme as well as be transparent. I love it on vocals because you can't hear it at all. For effect-y compression, I usually go for my Joe Meek or dbx.

I'd get a good 8 track. Old 1" 8 track like Scully, Ampex, or ?? if you can find one cheap and have space for it. Looks cool but most reviewers say it's uncolored. If that's what kind of pre/compressor you need, it looks like a great deal! I wish there were more around to try. Maybe they will get more distribution soon and become more common.

MarqueeMoon, I also just moved my studio and was wondering about the dehumidifier. How nesscessary are they? It's pretty humid where I live but so far my new location doesn't feel humid inside.
