This is an M79.
It's a 14" reel conversion machine.
Alot of the problems are probably due to that, such as severe tape angles.
I know the history of this machine.

Couple things. All in Nashville, TN. Don't really want to ship these items. I just got a chance to hear it last week and do some final tweaks on it.

Not to ride on this thread but I was watching this machine a bit too, but probably too much of a drive for me for it.
On the other hand if someone is looking for an MM1200 24 track, I have a pretty strong lead on one that would be a good project, and priced accordingly.
