a voltage follower isn't really a type of opamp, but a way of hooking up an opamp (or other amplifier) as a unity gain buffer. what he's saying is that you should have a buffer on each input and output of each device you want to hook up. this will help prevent interference and interaction problems. ...

the purple super8 console has been available for a while now. it is a modular system, with mic pres as one of the options. i've modded my sx202 and done some for other people. honestly i would only recommend the mod if you can do it yourself. the sx202 sounds pretty good stock, and the mod is a significant improvement. but if you have to pay someone else to do it, i don't really think the cost is worth it. it is more a ...
