I went with the last generation (2011) i7 quad Mini. Maxed the ram, put in an ssd, and for not much, I have a hell of a powerful little machine. Have both Firewire and Thunderbolt, plus USB3. I dont push it particularly hard, but it really performs well.

Decent sounding, cheap, sturdy tracking phones? does such a thing exist?
We need to buy another round of tracking phones for the shop, and the last batch I got sounded like poo.
Want the talent to be comfortable, but hate to spend too much as they will get trashed.
What are you all using?

Ours does this in the winter time, takes 2 or 3 trys to start, or taking a hair drier to the insides for a moment.

I agree, Redco, buy bulk cable + ends, solder yourself.
Make cable at the lengths you want and less expensive then buying pre-made.
