Think there is a music mart type place a pro place and a dj type store all owned by the same guys, If you look up chucky levins music. Just north of dc a little north of silver spring I think. I havent been there in years, I assume its still there. oh, here's a link http://www.washingtonmusic.com/

My Favs Stan Getz with guest artist Laurindo Almeida This is one of the best {samba / bossa} guitar records, not many vocals (if any ) Gilberto with Stanley Turrentine in tune vocals? well not really but a great album. The man from Ipanema box set is really good but about $50 With Antonio Carlos Job...

I think your applecare will be in default if you change the proc to a non apple one.

I hear that the OWC proc upgrades are very good with most audio programs.

here's some nice drum mics for rock: Kick... fet 47.. beyer M88...Senn 421...D6 SM91. My fav is 421 out sm91 in Snare.. beyer M201 or sm57 hat.. never end up using it in mix but sm81 toms... AUDIX D4 in U suspension clips OH... km 184 or AT4047 on smashers mxl 603 in a pinch if there are no 184's an...

Just to clear up my comment on using the M1 %99 of the time over the twin servo: I was not saying that I perfer the sound of the output tranny in my M1's over the tranny in the twin servo (it's the same), It's just that the M1 with the tranny has the sound I want to hear most of the time, And I dont...

OK, Me again, Yup I have 2 twin servos too. They sound similar to a M1 but a maybe a bit cleaner, Really good for loud fast stuff like OH, trumpet, and can be killer on acoustic. also great for High Gain stuff like soft singers and I know a guy who uses them for location nature recording. I am a huge M1 fan. I have a bunch of them. As far as color goes: IMHO: They (M1 pres) do have some color. Compared to the ultimate colorless pre (GML ) It has the tinyest bit of sheen on top and a bit of fat to the bottom. More so if you go for the jensen tranny output option. All mine have the Jen...
