NHT M20 active monitor system (incl 3 amps)
NHTs have a cult following for good reason, and these M20s are IMO, their best model, with all the improvements incorporated from the development of the A10s and A20s (which these replaced). The speakers and their dedicated, outboard amps are all in pristine, even like-new condition. I even have a s...

I'd add that if you're going around manually changing gain on sibilant sounds, you might also look to correct your problem with a little Audiosuite EQing in PT .. sometimes carving out a little notch of an offending frequency can successfully tame the harshness without significantly reducing the ove...

Since you're working in ProTools, it's easily worth the $89 to buy the Massey De-Esser. http://www.masseyplugins.com/index_v2.html?page=deesser IMHO it's easily one of the best tools on any platform (analog or digital) for the task of de-essing.

After striking a deal to send it off to a friend, this gem of an amp has been languishing for a year inside the boxes of spectacular professional packing job.. And now ... in a joint venture with the aforementioned friend, it's available again, packed and ready to go. See it here: http://cgi.ebay.co...

IME, low frequency response is not really so much tied to the capsule size as is commonly assumed. I've used B&K 4003s as overheads before, and they render a YUUUGE bottom end, Sennheiser MKH-series mics are also not really LDCs, but can bring some thunder as overheads. Anyway... plenty of mic chara...

Your image isn't working but I'm sure your right. It's just like me to have a workaround for something that the program already does on it's own. I think I fixed the images... And as I did, it occurred to me that maybe LE has fewer options in the Import Session Data dialog than HD does.. But I dunn...

I'm a bit perplexed by the replies here, as the Import Session Data function is made specifically for this, and has tons of options for what to import, what tracks to get data from, what tracks to overlay that data on, what data to ignore, whether to import audio or not.. Are you not seeing this whe...

Well, though it could be argued that most 8 and 9 year olds can make microtonal music without any custom tunings <g>, this is just great . Big kudos on doing this! Are you creating a curriculum as you go that you think might be something you could peddle to other elementary schools/teachers, or are ...

Great posts by MoreSpaceEcho and rwc! My 2?: mastering is far less about what processes or processors are used, and far more about decisions ; about deciding what (if any) processes or processors to use, about what has informed those decisions, and about how those decisions improve the final present...

Speaker + microphone can be tons of fun without even attempting to mimic the timecube. Millions of years ago, when I was still in art school, I built several resonant delay "processors", some using 16 foot cardboard concrete tube-forms (3" speaker on one end, Sennheiser 421 at the other). And I also...

I have not worked much with Peak 5, but I've not experienced what you're describing with Peak 6. Assuming you're not starting files in the middle of a waveform's crest, it sounds like a bug or prefs corruption, or some other similarly infuriating anomaly. Have you done similarly sequenced projects w...
