P.S. next time nekkid "rednecks" show up at your place - let me know in advance ...

Re: Studio Owner SHOT.....KILLED....
Yup - it sucks. About 4 months ago the owner of the local liquor store near me (about 4 blocks from my house) was shot point blank at 9pm - no witnesses except camera. Killer is still at large. Video showed guy come in, point gun, demand money, receive money - then shoot owner in head, who died an h...

Heh - i just like weird stuff! it's a totally ridiculous looking thing yes, and does sound like shit, but that's appealing to me. I already have tons of digital /analog stompboxes that make things sound "nice" and since the software is free - what the hey... and yes Christianity IS funny  :FB:...

[EDIT] actually you don't even need the wooden cross - there's a free software download that works on Win/Mac/Linux and it's free - a bit old school, but quite charming actually... more here including a video and software do...

Re: how can I learn IT
psychic - It sounds as if you are intersted in learning about streaming audio on web etc - and setting up computers at studios for sharing files, or accessing samples etc. I don't know much about that stuff - In general i'd say the best way to learn about networking is to setup your own home network...

Re: how can I learn IT
hey psychic! IT is a Pretty broad field - can you narrow it down a bit more? maybe to what part you are exactly interested in? If you are referring to IT as a friggin 8-5 job (oops i mean: 8am - 9pm) then read below... else (if it's IT relating to music technology i'm afraid i know nothing) move on....

Re: studio accessory materials (rack rail slots) in Los Ange
yes! I too highly recommend electronic city - nice prices on cables and lots of cool stuff. I always seem to find the stuff i need there. Plus it's close to Fry's burbank - which always seems to have the oddball part i need (but always a nitemare to visit.) when EC doesn't. Also try Project One whic...
