Re: CV out from Protools to analog sequencer for tempo?

And... I am so not good at this! I just had some back and forth with Michael at Rucci instruments, and you all are correct. The Clock Trigger is exactly what I need. And reason it didn't work last night? I had the wrong cable plugged in, since I'm still learning. So now, I have Click II running and ...

Re: CV out from Protools to analog sequencer for tempo?

I have that Rucci clock trigger box! Will try it again- I tried sending a click to it, but no dice. Going to mess around with it more tonight, and night pick up a Kenton pro solo at the local synth store to see if that gets me closer as well!

Re: CV out from Protools to analog sequencer for tempo?

This is all really helpful, thanks- my converter (RME 802) does MIDI, so I'm going to look into that. I have a little box that turns audio into CV, so I might try that as well. This is new territory to me, appreciate the help!

CV out from Protools to analog sequencer for tempo?

Ok, so clearly by the title alone I don't know what I'm doing. I'm an analog tape guy and am collaborating with a friend where I need to be able to get the tempo in prtools to set there speed of my Rucci 16 step sequencer. I'm totally happy to do the reading I need to do to learn this, but at first ...

Looking for music rental spaces in Portland, OR...

Hey all- I'm looking for something to rent/lease/etc here in Portland OR to get back to doing rehearsal and recording. I'm open to ideas here- I have had spaces at Puddletown and the various other practice facilities in town (who are all full at this time and have waitlists...). My ideal is to find ...

Re: Mod a Soundcraft Spirit Pro Tracker ?

Voltages should be (according to the boxtop) +/- 17, as well as 55 (all dc). I'm thinking I might just recap it and see where I wind up- I kind of want to get a new beefier PSU, but given this one has worked since the 90s, maybe a recap is in order?

Re: Mod a Soundcraft Spirit Pro Tracker ?

OK, I know this is a really old topic. I'm looking to replace the PSU in my Spirit, and came across this thread. Do any folks on this have suggestions for power supplies? Was going to rebuild my old burnt out one, but am now leaning towards replacement.

Thanks!

Portland, OR, warehouse/church/big recording space to rent for a few weeks?

Hey all- We (leafminer.bandcamp.com) are getting ready to self-track a new release, and while we are happy to record in our plywood box rehearsal space (Puddletown!), I kind of want to do something more interesting. Does anyone know of a space we can rent for a few weeks at the end of the year? It d...

Looking for bass/baritone guitar player in Portland, OR

We ( www.numbersstationband.com ) are looking for a baritone guitar player to replace current player. Have shows booked, recording, possible small west coast tour. We're nice dudes. In our 40s. Pretty stable. Influences are pretty broad, and we are currently instrumental but open to ideas. We listen...

Looking for musicans (math/indie) in Portland, OR

Hey all- we're a trio (bass/drums/guitar) looking to round things out a bit. Have tried craigslist to no avail (but lots of bizarre responses!) and am trying to widen the search. We're looking to add a 4th player, most preferably a multi instrumentalist. Would love to add a cello player, or strings,...

My 87 does read a 150khz bias frequency coming off of the test points. Still only hits about 3.5mV. Very odd. I'll look into borrowing an analog meter as well.

I have the shop manual if you need a copy. I can look through it tonight and see what it says for that part. I've been working on getting mine back into calibration (see other post..). How far do you get in the calibration tests before something seems off?
