Re: Click tracks again...
It also depends on how you're tracking, if you're doing mostly overdubs clicks are useful, but if the band is tracking live a little ebb and flow is nice. It's also useful if you've got a galloping drummer who won't believe they are all over the place tempo wise. Ever recorded a steady bass player a...

Re: Totally wierd phase phenomenon. . . try it yourself
I"m guessing it's the latency with your a/d d/a conversion. The tracks, while identical, are not aligned due to the time it takes the converters to convert the signal, so you're getting phase cancellation between the two tracks. Re: CLick Track question
I like mic'ing a turn signal in a car. Sometimes I use the sound of rain on our roof, it kinda has the feel of a train beat and there's always a little groove built into it, call it nature's rhythm.

I could never figure out how to raise my bid if it didn't hit the reserve and I was the high bidder. Sigh.

Re: Tracking Headphones
I use the Audio Technica ATH-40 when tracking, kind of trebly but they cut through well when tracking in loud situations, phones sit tight on the head and swivel as well, I got mine for around 60.

Yeah if you don't UTFSF, than take the grill off the 58 and use that as a snare mic.

Re: which are better MONITORS???
I've got the M1's they're not bad, they've got some weirdness in the low-mids, everything sounds muddy there, which doesn't translate on other stereos but for the most part I feel they're solid, especially for a couple of hundred. I liked the Events when I demo'd them but they sounded like a home st...
