a lot of the gear is shitty but the main thing is their business practices are nothing to support.

'On the flip side I get a lot of punk rockers who will record with me because I am an analogue recordist (or because I don't use PT.)' when i did only analog 8 track this was one of the main 'selling' points. but the results they liked had little to do with the medium...more to do with folks playing...

i use 560's too ... not the b's...the b's seemed to have smoother sliders but similar sound.
i love those Klark Technik (SP?) dual 31 band ones....really really cool eq.
i just bought an MXR dual 15 band for 50 bucks...mess up track type of thing i'm sure

i used rick hunters gt44 when i recorded his band. used it as the M in an M/S. worked really well, very meaty sounding mic. colored in a nice way. zeroed in on the drums and not the cymbals in a really cool way. you don't have the recording set up for that posted anywhere do you? i heard the clip a...
