Studio 660

meanwhile, several years later...
Not only has studio 660 soldiered on since my departure, but they're going to expand and I'll be assisting and doing the acoustic design. Stay tuned.

by god, you're right DWLB!
I skimmed over the OP at work and completely missed the point... didn't stop me from typing up a long, unwarranted rant tough. Sorry guys. I'll shut my mouth now.

Traveller, As a fellow Chicagoan who has spent the past 15 years working in audio and going to various state & private colleges & Universities for audio, multimedia, graphic design, industrial design, I would have to ask how a masters in "audio" should help you become a good teacher (or get a job te...

Now I know why it's called T.O.M.B. - any one of you old coots could drop dead at any moment. Just kidding... If I had the time I'd love to get out there and play. I don't even care where. I'm proud to say the last club I played was that Manhattan craphole- CBGB's, but that was about six years ago. ...

An EARS meeting would be fine; I haven't been to one of those in years... who was it that was building in the old Dam! space? I liked that studio. EDIT: oh yeah. Audionaut. Found it. (I UTFSF!) Never say Never... I'm not running the show at the old DAM space any more, but I recently dropped by to d...

Guess it's been a while, huh?

Hey all... Here's the story. I was offered another engineering gig at the end of January that promised to deliver considerably larger, consistent (weekly) paychecks... Considering that my prior employer had been particularly lax in the consistent payment department for the past couple of months, I w...

WTB Tannoy FSM spares

Hey all,
I'm looking to purchase spare 15" speakers for our Tannoy FSM mains. Bass drivers are a priority, but we could use a dual concentric or two as well.
Please PM me if you've got any to sell. I'm located in Chicago.
Thanks.

i'm curious as to why you went with 2 ISA428s - I've never used one, though ive heard mixed things about them. (although i assume since you have 2 units you must love them) no? I fell in love with the original ISA (mic pre/eq) about 10 years ago when the studio I worked at had a custom 12channel pu...

Temporary delay

Please forgive the slack in this blog:
All is well.
I'll get back to the studio in a few days to finish up the trim in the main CR and post progress on the rest of the facility.

The ONLY stuff I ever see (online) about Electro Harmonix's new product line is either
1) Customer complaints about defective equipment (poor quality control) or
2) FS listings.
Not a very good sign.

What's the street price on these? The original poster expressed a budget of around $1000 for 2 channels.

Best regards,
Steve Berson
I believe that both the 2 Channel rack and 2 channel mobile units are both around $1000 street. 4 channels for $1450, like MoreSpaceEcho said.
