I would be a lot more upset if I weren't 23 years old. At least I can go to the bottle.
If another all-ages joint opens up to replace the fireside, goddamn I hope it's close to the red line.
It's such a pain in the ass to go to shows if you don't have a car.

Re: The New Cure album
Dude...has anyone watched the "making of" DVD that accompanies the special edition of the new Cure album? There's this part where Ross Robinson's jumping around, coaching Jason Cooper through his drum performance. What a dork. Watching the dvd, you see Jason really laying into the drums, and then th...

Re: The New Cure album
Who knows how it all went down. Maybe the Robert Smith had TOO much say in how it was mixed. Maybe it was a poor mastering job and the mastering engineer EQ's it crazily. Who knows all the factors. One shouldnt point fingers until they know whats up for sure. Perhaps you're right. However, after li...

Re: The New Cure album
At least Bloodflowers had SOME redeeming qualities. It didn't sound so freakin' dead. But it wasn't a Pornography or Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, or a Disintegration. At least if the new songs sound good live, it must not all be their fault. Really though, I cannot believe that an album by a band of the...

The New Cure album
Dude...I finally got the new Cure album. And I am very very pissed. It might be the most poorly mixed album I've heard this year. The drum sound is awful, and most of the time the guitars sound like they were recorded through a line 6 pod. Everything sounds like it's gone through a DAW hard limiter,...

Anybody made any progress on this one? I chopped up a bunch of files into good samples. Now it's time for sequencing...

Stab someone to death.
Then when the cops come, and you get arrested, you'll get tons of free press in the newspaper.
This works especially well if you're Swedish or Norwegian and you play death metal.
Also, you should eat your bassist's brain.

Re: M-Audio Speakers
I second the hyped high and low end thing. Especially the low end. If you want speakers with a flat frequency response, these are not the ones.
