You guys should try out makin' tunes instead of just recordin' 'em.

Re: mac mini? hmmmmmmm.....
yeah...seriously, to say it's crap is fucking retarded. I have a Powerbook that you'd probably jack off over, souped up to all hell, and it costs 4 times as much as that mini does, and the mini is pretty comparable. It sucks compared to a G5 tower...but what do you expect? If it would've come out 6 ...

Re: DAW choices
I don't know why everyone thinks that Logic is so difficult.
I, for one, think it's pretty intuitive....
And I've never had to call support, that's for sure.

I can't find any decent documentation on the web, nor is there anything useful in the help files. Anybody that knows anything should let me kn...

dude...he didn't commit suicide...He died via autoerotic asphyxiation.
Apparently Kylie Minogue wasn't enough to satisfy him.

Used MOTU 828 MK1.
It's very useful, and you can get 'em for under 300 bucks.

Re: fourtrack to computer=shit
no, that's not what he meant. If you want to be the moral police, that's cool and all, but it doesn't solve this dude's problem. If he gets legal software, it won't all of a sudden make it sound good. It's a hardware issue. I wish people wouldn't even mention whether or not they're using bootlegged ...

And yeah, the problem isn't software-related at all. You can use any software and it'll sound about the same. But Tracktion is still uber-lame.

Re: fourtrack to computer=shit
first of all, ditch the bootleg CoolEdit and get the free Tracktion (6 more hours!) or Audacity (free forever). secondly, detail the connections from your 4-track to your computer. third, detail your method - how are you going about doing it? what's your process? more detai = better answer for you....

Re: Audio Technica AT2020
I was wondering about that one too.
I own a 3035, and I love it. It's nothing real special, but for the money you can't beat it. I hope someone tries out the 2020 soon so I can hear about it. (too poor to get one myself right now)
