is it just me, or is that "kissed a girl" song the most obviously autotuned song of all time?

I think you'll have a blast with the project. A ton of work, but between the variety of music and the foley/sound effect design, you'll have a blast! Couple of key things to keep in mind: * Director is king/queen- offer options, but the final call is the director's. * Make sure your design is backg...

In the mixer window, on the track you want to switch to surround, hold down the output box (where it says "Out 1-2"), and you should be able to select "surround." You'll get a joystick panner, and you'll be able to pan your sounds wherever you want in the field. This all depends on how you set up yo...

Album's fantastic, but the hi-hats sound really bad to my ears. When I first got it on mp3, I thought I had bad mp3's, but when I got it on vinyl, it sounded the same.

But that's a small complaint. It's pretty damned good. I think the title is hilarious as well.

would it be possible to make a .zip file so i can see if it will work on pc? it looks like it could be very fun. I just tested it with PC, and the standalone app doesn't work. I need to compile it with a PC that has MAX, which I don't have access to until Jan. Bummer. how do ya load samples into it...

I like the Space Designer reverb a lot, and for some reason it chews up less cpu on my machine than Altiverb. As for the compressors, I must say that I LOVE the audio units multiband compressor. I can't even stand to use my old PC with Logic 5 now, as the multiband compressor has become mandatory to...

Evil Sampler-MAX/MSP

Hey guys, I created a neato MAX/MSP instrument, the Evil Sampler. You should check it out if you've got the time: http://the83.com I've included both a standalone app (not midi controllable) as well as the full max patch (do what you want with it). It won't do you too much good for recording, but it...

Re: no money for a u47...but

AT mics are pretty boss, but I think I would go for the 414. I've recorded lots of good stuff with one of those. On certain voices, it'll really do the trick for vocals.

Re: Telephone recording.

I know this isn't exactly what you want to do, but for me it was an easy and flexible solution: Buy one of these: http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F008%5F008%5F001%5F005&product%5Fid=279%2D430 They're available at every single radio shack. take two hook...

Re: Audio Technica AT2020

I was wondering about that one too. I own a 3035, and I love it. It's nothing real special, but for the money you can't beat it. I hope someone tries out the 2020 soon so I can hear about it. (too poor to get one myself right now) I agree with you on the AT3035. It's great for the money. Vocal trac...
