Re: Have they 'enhanced' ET?
ET was on TV this afternoon and there's this scene where Elliot and ET are in the bathroom that i don't recall seeing before and ET gets all sort of digital looking, really isn't the same little plasticy guy that he is throughout the rest of the film, did they 'enhance' it more recently or somethin...

Re: Heart of Rock and Roll - Most Sterile Recording Ever
The coolest thing about Huey Lewis/News is that Tower of Power's horn section backed the band. Just my opinion, of course. Surely the coolest thing about Huey Lewis and the News is that they broke up. Least i hope they did. Either way we don't seem to hear them much these days, so i'd still be happ...

Re: Heart of Rock and Roll - Most Sterile Recording Ever
I shall say this only once and then probably regret it instantly, but i lost my viginity to a 'colour me bad' fan. She was a fine looking girl though and i almost always chose the music, thank god. Thank you for your candidness, Rigsby. I'll be candid as well. I nearly married a woman that was a Sp...

"Wax on, wax off" - Miagi-san. Words of wisdom in a world gone awry. BTW, wasn't Ralph Macchio, like 47 years old when the original film was made? Amazing what martial arts can do for aging. http://www.ivonsong.com/machomachodude.jpg PS. I think I may have found a new avatar. I wonder if he did ephe...

Re: Coffee Consumption!!!
All I'm gonna say is, Minithins. Anyone remember those? Horrible crap. It's a good thing they took those off the shelves. But I'm liked them back in the day. Ahhh, to be young and dumb. yep. Ephedrine. It was cheaper as Primetine tablets. fuck a bunch of that stuff. I really only liked it mixed wit...

Insuring Studio Equipment
Dear Tape Op:
Any suggestions as to a good insurance policy/company to cover studio equipment? Bad experiences...good experiences? Just looking into getting an insurance policy for the crap I've accumulated.
Thanks,
Ivon

Re: Any Yamaha Motif Users Here?
Thanks for the input. The only synth I currently own is a DX7. I've owned it for a few years now and love it...but I'm looking for something newer to add to my modest studio. I'm just looking for more sounds, I guess, with more polyphony...and I don't necessarily care about the natural piano sounds....

Any Yamaha Motif Users Here?
I'm shopping around for workstation right now...and I'm just wondering if anyone here has had experience using the Motif line, and if so, what that experience has been.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Death Squads in Iraq
Oh yeah...here's an offshoot. I live in the Olympia, WA. area where one can hear a lot of military activity from Ft. Lewis. The other day I was at a client's house shooting the poo on the porch while the distinct sound of heavy artillery explosions and machine gun fire reverberated in the calm breez...

Re: Death Squads in Iraq
American troops firing on 'refugees' hot footing it into the outskirts of Damascus would be an Archduke Ferdinand moment. Especially if they use their customary level of restraint and respect for the sanctity of life. Very well may be... Empires rise and empires fall like ocean tides. History has p...

i see you chagned ur avatar, this ones not as funny, but less disgusting Yeah, the mantitty pic is only funny for so many views; then, it just starts to become more and more disturbing. Plus, it was out of context. Incidentally, in case any of you are interested - you don't need to take estrogen to...
