Re: MF Blowout on Behringer Autocom Stereo Comps $49 - any g

I have a lot of behringer stuff, and it is all fantastic stuff, even if it was not so inexpensive I would buy it because I like the quality of it. I have a quad comp/gate that is similar to the one you are talking about, and it does a great job, it is very transparent sounding. The gate works reall...

phase problems are not dependent on how live the room is or isn't.

TUBelectro wrote:Is there some sort of box I can get that will align phase?
mac g4 or better and pro tools.

Re: REALY BAD CD TO RECOVER

I've heard of a service where a machine is used to remove like, .5mm of the plastic of the disc and then it's re-coated with an adhesive film sorta thing. Never seen it done on anything though. The theory goes that if you've got a lot of small surface scratches, removing the plastic re-exposes the ...

Re: REALY BAD CD TO RECOVER

first try some soap. really, smother the entire CD in soap. remember, a scratch (unless REALLY deep) is only deflecting the laser, not harming the data..the idea of soap is to fill in thoes cracks. infact, this is the same reason why some people swear 'black CDs cannot be scratched'. anyway, if tha...

Re: Utilitarian Compressors

I'll probably get reamed for suggesting this, but if you want something on the cheap for just smoothing things out, you might want to look at the aphex 108. They can be had for peanuts these days. I think I paid $80 for mine. I don't have the golden ears of most of the people here, but the thing so...

Re: Where to Buy Bulk Cable?

MARKERTEK. defintely. i usually buy star quad from them for .36 a foot and i usually spring a little more for the black neautrik XLRs, but the regular silver ones (nc3mx, nc3fx) are like 1.50-ish....dirt-flippin-cheap.

Re: Click tracks again...

i am a drummer and i personally love playing to a click. unfortunately, most drummers don't know how to properly use it. and i don't mean "properly use it" as in "you can't ever hear the click because the guy is 100% on." .....when a drummer does that he's only demonstrating an ability to create a m...

Re: m300 users....i've found a mistake in the design....

yep, same deal here. sold it and got a lexicon mpx-550. how do you like it. i saw one in a catalog and got to thinking that maybe i need to switch over? how do the delay sounds compare? how about the verb sounds? does it have two completely separate engines so you can do 2 independent send/returns ...
