Drewsonics Sherlock {SHure LEvel LOC clone]
Hi I just found my old Drewsonics Sherlock in the attic and would love to get it working. Does anyone know how much power it needs? That would be a good place to start. I can post pics later. Or maybe I remove the circuit board and start again. I don't remember if this thing ever worked and that's w...

Re: RIP Bohannon
He called me one day out of the blue when I had my neon sign business and wanted to create a disco in his basement. That was the only conversation we had because it was a little too expensive.

amen to this
I am running a G5 with Protools 3 hd and it's rock solid. There, I said it and I'm proud and I feel no shame, in fact I feel smart. Like those post apocalyptic movies where it's so far in the future it's the past again and I've hacked together discarded machinery to build something functional for su...

I get the ones for recording vocals. The contact can't be there, but they have a driver who can't accept credit cards, so they want to pay me with a credit card, including the driver fee, and I pay the driver. I usually like to do a few follow up emails to make them work for it, and to believe that...

Done with Avid
I just want to record and mix music..but not having input monitoring? That is unworkable. I have 8HD at the studio and sticking with it. PT11 at home [pain in the ass without input monitoring] My workaround is to set up an AUX input track to monitor what i'm micing up...just more work. Plus until DA...

Multiple hard drive organization ideas?
Multiple hard drive organization ideas? I have at least 5 or 6 hard drives plugged in at any time and I'm wondering if any one figured out a way to keep them physically organized? I havent seen a professional solution as of yet unless there's a rackmount something to run the drives as in a server. O...

Toronto
The neon clock in my studio came from Toronto! I got in the studio habit of putting things away after a session but I saw some pictures of Toe Rag studio in London and he had mics on stands on shelves all ready to go..so I'll start to do some of that as a time saver..

workflow
I hear you. I'm back to demoing on 4 and 8 track cassettes again. But that's more about workflow while I'm writing. By the time the computer boots up and you set up mics etc..you can lose the feeling of the original thought. I ususally don't record songs until I've worked them out for a while on ac...
