Re: good price for ebow?

I'd never pay that much, though my mother did for mine (birthday present). It does do some incredible things, especialy for studio use, and with a few effects slapped on it it's absolutely beautiful. So all in all, I'd say....I'd pay $35 for it and say I got a decent deal. Which is what you can get ...

Re: The dumbest question ever asked

The only problem being, I can't use insert points, because I have to have a different setting on each track. And I'm too in love with my boxes to use plug-ins instead. But still. Crono, this is exactly what inserts are used for, a control point for each individual track. Does your board have an ins...

That's what I was thinking too. It just seems strange. But I suppose I could go for it.

Re: The dumbest question ever asked

I'm going to be recording to pro tools, then mixing on a console.

So, between those two steps (in pro tools), I could insert outboard effects as desired on separate tracks using only one box...?

The dumbest question ever asked

How does one add outboard effects??

I mean, the situation: 1 compressor. Say....12 tracks. All to have different compression settings. How can I add compression after recording in a situation like this? Obviously it can't be during mixdown.

Re: Make me a pair of tape op omnis!

Still though Scodiddly, if you're prepared to make a pair for $50 then i'll definately be after a pair, PM if you decide you'll do this. Thanks a lot mate. Same here... If I'm working on it, I don't see how I'm ducking the inevitable. Wouldn't it be MORE valuable to me to have a completed model, an...

Re: Make me a pair of tape op omnis!

You can get the Behringer ECM8000 for $80 a pair. They're not bad. I was going to offer to translate or draw a picture from the schematics but I looked at the article and realized they've got to be the simplest schematics out there. Here are some hints: The zigzag line with the "K" next to it is a ...
