for what it's worth. computer speakers, though limited, generally have excellent stereo imaging, why? cuz they are damn near an equilateral triangle when set up by default (your head is part of said triangle) so don't worry about mono with them unless you need a terribly small mp3 in which case, don...

i know we aren't in a guitar forum here. but for my money the dunlop ts-1 is a great tremolo. more linear than old school tube amps yes, but VERY similar to the cesar diaz tremodillo and an excellent performer for the price. stereo stompbox. simple, effective, $120 on ebay, done.

seriously. these are awesome. great bang for buck. i use them almost every time i record. excellent transient reponse, super clear high end. no colors or bullshit that you don't need, just a nice clean pre. lots of gain available in these, they LOVE drums. so there's that.
