i suppose your use for this tuner matters. is it for in studio, or backstage (side) as a guitar tech, or are you playing the gig and tuning your own axe? strobes are great, no doubt about it. accurate, hells yes, but fast on the fly they are not. stompbox tu-2 for the win in a live situation, though...

So we finally did it...
Bought Pro Tools HD the other day. First ProTools rig in the studio actually. Hell when I started there 10+ years ago there was still a 1" 16 and and ADAT. I brought my computer with me with Sound Designer to introduce that whole aspect and we just fought it forever. But I think it's time. Not just ...

word word. cheers to studio2roll for defending his quesion with intellegence and not just some babble that a sweetwater rep could quote you from a one-sheet. 96 is great, no doubt, but not always economical, and even though it's easy to point at something like the ADAT revoluton as being a lame time...

i've got a six channel mccurdy discrete mixer that's pretty sick... i would put the pres closer to API than neve in my ears, punchy as hell but still with plenty of clarity. that mxp looks cool enough for short money, so long as nobody from here poaches your listing, it'l go for less than a new mack...

it's neither. an ear is kindof 'half' omni, as it picks up sound equally around a 180 degree plane. hemispherical i think is what it's called technically. so a boundary mic or something like that is closest technically, or an omni that is baffled to some degree will be dandy. most dummy heads use an...

true enough. but the good fellows over at royer returned my 121 with a nifty little velvet sack to toss it in. we've been incredibly nice to the mics, going so far at to slip them into the original plasitc sleeve that they arrived in some 7 years ago now before resting them in thier happy wooden hom...
