Remember, your ears will tune themselves to what they are hearing over a period of time. This is why things are muffled when you leave a concert. It takes time for them to readjust. So be careful with your levels and take some breaks.

I agree with Lee. The bass guitar is lacking the bottom end to anchor the mix. I think if you get the bass guitar in there the right way it will also balance the brittleness that Lee speaks of. Remember, this is just an opinion. I think your definately on the right track.

Crate certainly has had a reputation of making the amp that mom and dad bought for their kid who thought he might want to play but threw it in the back of his closet instead.
