Re: Smart cable hanging solution?

I have a fairly small space with a lot of traps on the walls. I have about a 4'x3' space where I'd like to hang some cables and maximize density. Something that doubled as a diffusor or trap would be killer. Any suggestions? Not sure of your exact setup, but Maybe screw these to the top frames of y...

Re: vinyl collecting ( and surrounding planetary atmosphere )

Oh man, they were great. We saw them at a little open air show one night (Lagunitas in Petaluma) and they had the crowd . Monolithic groove journeys. "Okay, lets' all sway like we are drops of water in the same ocean" . And we did! The bass player was fun to watch as anytime he had a repeating figur...

Re: Joe Gore

That's right. He's had his fingers in a lot of pies. He has a line of effects pedals as well. I was listening to this Mancini tribute album yet again and started researching the bands that contributed. Gore was in Orang Symphonette. https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/c48/shedshrine/FullSizeRende...

Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

Anyway, so I've been enjoying my guitars (as one should). All these various configurations, tones and variations of feel. they are incredibly fun to collect I am finding. (Touches finger thoughtfully to cheek) The latest… Well, a friend I have been getting back in touch with who moved back east ...

Joe Gore

Interview with Joe Gore The actual tItle of the linked interview given by interviewer does it a great disservice as the topics mentioned take up but 1/800th of the 2 hours involved. In any case, fantastic wide ranging inspiring interview with Joe Gore.. "He’s licensed his music to well-known movies...

Re: What are your influences?

That's the dream connection isn't it, somebody you start out with and grow with through time. And a teacher/mentor that really connects. Good on you! I was the older brother in our household. I had to stumble around and find good stuff firsthand, ha!

Re: vinyl collecting ( and surrounding planetary atmosphere )

So I’m home Friday night, good day at work, the camaraderie has been in full effect during this pandoramic slow motion drama time, and I’m listening to lots of Joe Rogan and Lex Fridman podcasts with brilliant minds on the commute and spontaneouslly started doing a new routine of nightly off the cuf...

Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

Thanks David. I know next to nothing about hollow-body electrics. In the brief research i've done on the particular model in question, it seems to be (sort of) agreed that the newer versions of this model have better pickups. (super 58 customs) so I think i'll pass on the green guy this time. I will...

Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

when it rains it pours..I've got a line on a Ibanez artcore AF-95, in heinous green. Looks to be in good shape from the one photo i have of it. And such lovely finger grime! gold worn off the pickup edges, can't tell how the frets truly are from this one pic. Says it's about 15 years old and he "doe...

Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

I have a "The Paul" - whadda sweet guitar, much lighter than a Standard, etc., and I love the green-burst non-bound mahogany body. Mine came with Dirty Fingers which I used to love when playing out, but I am thinking of swapping to a PAF or even a P90 type. The guitar is just so playable in compari...

Re: shedshrine build 3.0 - furniture, cats, gear, enlightenment, and yer mom, man

Your Les Paul is looking a little lonely over there all by himself on the right, don't you think you need to get him a brother? Ha! Way ahead of you. I have a black 1988 Gibson Les Paul "the Paul" that I would have loved to have put up alongside that 2014, but I ran out of wall space. :) I did a se...
