I have always heard this is a no-no. I typically add just a c-hair if I use a global reverb. Anybody have any good tricks to make a bass guitar sit back in the room, without flooding the lowend? Or to use successfully as an effect? I know high-pass helps, but pre-delay doesns't seem to... I'm not e...

I've found that an occasional clip of transients is not a problem.....I try to avoid them, but if something clips, I don't sweat it, as long as it's occasional. Three or four times per tune....occasional......three or four times per measure....NOT.

OK boys and girls of the audio forum. a couple of things. Never use more than one mic to record anything. And now that you're totally going to ignore that rule............ Make sure that you like the way it sounds before you press record.......... And if you're not sure.......... Either use one mic....

Is phase that bad of a thing? I believe not. anytime you have two or more microphones recording the same source, there will be phase. It's not about how to eliminate phasing but more working with phasing. Moving a microphone back 2 inches will give you a whole new tone....is that what you want? If ...
