Steel panned right (at around 3 o'clock)...

Used this today on a steel guitar session. Steel panned 3 o'clock, spring panned hard left. Sweet Jesus, it's great! Crazy that I let it sit in storage for years.
Anything we can hear? A snippet, perhaps...

I’ve done a couple of EP’s with Scott Craggs, who posts here as MoreSpaceEcho, and was pleased with the results.

Scott's done a lot of my projects and they always sound great. Someone also mentioned Carl Saff, and he is top notch as well.

Re: How much do you "fix" without telling your client?

Good topic. Honestly, editing takes too long. Even with digital tools, it’s a massive time waster. How long for them to nail a new take? 4 minutes? 4 hours? 40 hours? That’s nothing compared to editing. We could easily spend 100 hours on our own time trying to fix crap that isn’t right, it can alwa...

Just be sure to keep 'em easily accessible re the switch as described by CraigS63, above.
Yeah, I thought of that. I don't think they will live anywhere permanently.

Re: $25 boundary mic

I rec'd my pair a cuppla daze ago at the low price (blowing on nails graemlin) but I'll hopefully get at 'em tomorrow or this weekender. I'm thinkin' a acoustic guitar and a voc - depends on what becomes :high: necessary. They certainly look legit. I'll post a link and all y'all can hear 'em and no...

Sole prop here. Regardless of which way you go, don't do your own taxes, get an accountant. They're worth it just for the time/trouble they'll save you, never mind the money. And you can write off their fee. YES! I always say the money I pay my accountant to do my taxes is the best money I spend al...

Re: How much do you "fix" without telling your client?

I do a lot of that stuff IN PRODUCTION with the band. Me, too, but I do a lot of file-share recording. What I meant was that I'll make suggestions while the band is tracking, or during those rare times where there's time for pre-production. We'll sometimes shorten intros, or interludes that maybe f...

Re: How much do you "fix" without telling your client?

Little things like a rouge note, .... That might require a make-up session! Working on my own and my friend's stuff, I'll do big edits, move solo sections around, even cut and paste backing vocals over each other (ex., chorus 1 and 2 over chorus 3, or replacing chorus 3). I also find myse...
