Re: Mixing Doubled Vocals

Usually I''ll only send one of them to reverb or delay (if I'me using them on the vocal). Occasionally the double makes for a little bit more interesting send tha...

It's great. Added a little reverb, no EQ or anything else. Sits in there perfectly.

I'll be sure to post it once the record is done.
Can't wait to hear the whole thing!

Re: Places for one off vinyl

One-off's were always cut acetates in the old days, I don't know that anyone is doing anything different now. If I'm not mistaken, play life is very low compared to pressed vinyl, as in diminishing quality with each spin. I don't think they have a very good shelf life either, as the lacquer can def...

Re: Adding Definition to Mellow Bass Tracks

Parallel compression driven hard might help. Re-amp to something small, maybe like a Pignose type thing, or a little practice amp. Decapitator in parallel. Duplicate (or even triplicate) the track, with different EQ settings.

A combination of all of those things.

Re: Plug in for Leslie effect...

Do you have the whole Soundtoys bundle? There might be something in Tremolator or Phasemistress. There also the PSP http://www.pspaudioware.com/plugins/multimode_effects/psp_lotary/ that people seem to like. Is it just one part? I could run it through my Leslie... I don't have the full bundle unfor...

I did a mix yesterday with a did a lots of feedback, narrow frequency delay into reverb in mono. It sounded really cool.

Nice post dear, It sounds like you're not too saddened by the complete destruction of the microphone that I imposed by my disassembly procedures?
What are you trying to say with this?

Re: reverbs - mono or stereo and why?

I'll do mono reverb if I'm adding it to something like a solo and I'm trying to keep it focused, but have a short tail or something. Once in a blue moon I'll use mono reverb on a vocal, or a horn part.

I'm a pretty reverb minimalist.
