I've had one of these since TapeOp reviewed it and am not really one to sit down and compare it, or detail it's sonic characteristics, but it's awesome since it doesn't sound shitty. Neither does the A/D, which adds two channels to my rig.

You could also try just pasting snare hits on an empty track where the snares are in the tom track. That's how I did it back in day, Tedious, but free.

I was always a big fan of the Hohner blues harp. My harmonica teacher got me into them when I was like 14. I took mine apart and soaked it in water because I read some old blues guys might have done that or something. I had one Lee Oskar, but never liked paying it as much, the plastic or whatever it...

Thanks for the tips, very helpful. I've decided that I am going to first concentrate on decoupling my amps and mic stands before I worry about a drum riser. I went to get a carpet for my drums after I wrote the original post and I found some foam stuff for under carpets that links together. I got so...

Alternative to that Platfoam stuff, for drum or amp risers.

I'm hoping to make a drum riser and possibly 2 amp risers for my small project space. I could get two of those Auralex Gramma things for about $100, and get some Platfoam for about $300 for a drum riser, but I'm looking to spend way less. I was just gonna build some plywood risers with 2x4's, but I ...

I've got a Pentium 4 Shuttle PC, running XP pro. The 400f I have works well enough with the beta drivers that I am considering getting another one. But I have yet to hear of it working for anyone with two yet, so I am apprehensive. Oh yeah: the firmware didn't seem to have any ill effects since when...

Anyone out there successfully using two Mackie 400f's?

The beta drivers are working pretty well for me with my one. Are they working with two for anyone? Let me know. I still haven't heard of anyone trying it yet.

Those are some good ideas. I've had more than one situation where doubling the vocal magically fixes the pitch issues. Where both the vocal takes separately don't sound that great, but combined they sound perfect. Doesn't work every time and may open up another can of worms, so it might not work in ...

Wow, that sucks. They went for like $135 new some places. I wish I had a new one, mine is pretty beat up. Very surprised, I wonder if the new model is as versatile on stuff besides kick.

just take a big enough piece of breathable fabric (such as muslin) place on floor. put both fiberglass panels on top, and attach the muslin to the back with spray adhesive. The fabric and friction will hold the two panels together, no need to glue them. (You'll want to stretch the fabric as you're ...

Interesting, though the only problem is that I have basically no floor space left with couches and bookshelf's and stuff along the walls. So I always envisioned them on the wall and ceiling corners. This is making me realize that I will need a good way to mount them as well, but maybe with no frame ...

OC 703 traps without the wood frames?

I am going to be creating a few of these traps and was wondering if there was a good way to bypass the wood frames that everyone seems to make for them. Basically, I was trying to think of a good way to sandwich two of these 2" sheets together while still making them effective and solid. Would glue ...

Well, not all converters are made equal, hence why some cost more than others.

I am getting the same problem.

Only on my computer though. I think it has something to do with that fact that I tried the page so many times when it was down that it now just defaults to that message, but I can't figure out how to get it to stop doing that.
