Hi: Monitor hum came out of nowhere - I have no idea why or how it started. Event PS8s, which have been good. Motu 828mkII, Mac G4 Furman power conditioning Monitors plugged right into 828, 1/4. Tested cables. Checked different power sources, still getting hum. My DAW isn't even booted up?? Thanks!

Hi: I am going direct into Logic with a CRAPPY bass through a 2108. Can anyone give me a good baseline (NPI) for suggested settings on the 2108? Terry Manning did a lot of work with Big Star in Memphis, I believe. He now runs Compass Point. I believe Terry is featured in Jeff Touzeau's (tape op writer) new book Making Tracks.....good stuff...

Just get some Paiste 2002s. I've never met any that I didn't like. Flexible crashes that can also be used as rides....say an 18".
