Have you tried Stewmac? http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Nuts,_saddles/Acoustic_bridge_saddles.html They have the bone substitute that Martin started using in the 60's. Otherwise, call up Sylvan Music as they're close to you (Santa Cruz) they have a good repair shop and might be willing to dip into their...

Trace amp with Phantom Power
Ahoy, I've a got a Gary Southwell classical guitar w/pickup that requires phantom power. I've a got this little Trace amp that provides the needed phantom power but it seems that I can't find the right cable (1/4" that is). I know I need a balanced cable and tried one the other day but no go. I real...

Convincing a band to master properly...
What would be the best way to convince a band I'm working with that having their E.P. mastered by a good quality mastering house or mastering engineer will be much better than having a friend of friend do it on their home system? I have them almost convince but they still sound skeptical at the idea...

Protools 6-Click plug-in woes
I've been utilizing the Click Plug-in in Pro Tools 6 thinking that is was all very nice and simple only to find out that it changes tempo on me for reasons I can't seem to understand. It will go fine for awhile and then simply cut the time to much slower (not even in half). The tempo marking in the ...

Re: How can I get a seamless burn for a live CD?
...also the hall the performance was recorded in is pretty noisy with a pretty noisy crowd so when I have a track break the ambience disappears and then comes back in which is what I would like to try and smooth over.

Re: How can I get a seamless burn for a live CD?
I don't get a pop or a click but there is an audible break between the tracks. It's not a terrible thing but I would like it better if I didn't hear the transition to the next track.

How can I get a seamless burn for a live CD?
Try as I might, I can't seem to figure a way to get a seamless burn of a live Classical Guitar performance that I recorded and mastered. I have tried both Toast 6 and itunes with the track gap set to 0secs and still there is a break (that draws unwanted attention to bad room ambience) in between the...
