thanks for the tips i cut the low end on the piano clear room for when the bass and kick comes in. any suggestions for how i can keep the low end, without make things sound muddy? maybe i can keep the low end of the piano in the beginning of the song and roll it back once the other instruments come ...

critique my mix (concerns with low end and tape echo)
Hi, Can anyone give my mix a listen and offer up suggestions on what i might want to fix. i'm not exactly sure how well the low end translates, if it's muddy, etc. also, this is the first time i used a tape echo on the vocals. any thoughts on that? thanks. http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~jerchen/mix/le...

any thoughts on how to make my mix better? Sometimes it sounds fine, sometimes it doesn't...i particular any suggestions how i could make the organs sound more "glorious" without making them sound "louder/in your face"

api / neve good for non-rock music?
the common word heard around here is that api and neve mic pres are great particularly for rock music (drums, guitars, etc.), but what about stuff like classical music? would you guys still use these pres for violins, cellos, pianos? or are mic pres better suited for this sound?
