Shape Of Punk To Come is okay. It's a bad hardcore album, but a good proto-nu metal/screamo album. Think of all the bands that steal Refused parts: Trapt, Hoobastank, Papa Roach... etc. no way dude, that record is rulz. I hate all those bands you mentioned but have worn out three copies of of SHape...

You could try zipping it(I use stuffit, but the person recieving it must also have stuffit to unstuff it, but I think you can get a free trial download), or creating an archive(file menu when using the finder on a mac). I usually prefer IMing over yousendit though. I use ichat. As inverseroom said t...

You could try soloing the percussion and throwing up some mics(either both speakers, or a mono room) to add some liveness/ambience to the existing persussion tracks. Just make sure you mute the track(s) you're recording on to avoid a wicked feedback loop. Or maybe duplicate the track and try a bunch...

Yeah, this can be done quite simple in Pro Tools using the tempo bar located above the audio on the edit window(by Markers, Min:Secs, Bars:Beats, directly above the name of your first track). If you don't see it, click on the right of two calendar looking things right above there and pick tempo from...

Daves Guitar in LaCrosse, WI has an amazing collection of vintage guitars. Dave has his personal collection on display(half hidden upstairs, I think. they've got a new building now, and it lost most of it's vibe, still very cool though) which is pretty mind blowing. Far and away the best guitar coll...

I've always kind of figured putting fuses on speakers is more a means to protect the speaker from amplifier malfunction (transistor shorts, a rail gets sent to the speaker, speaker melts). I don't know if a fuse can really help protect speakers from the traditional style of getting blown since usua...

Fusing NS10's
I'm planning on putting fuses inside the NS10's at work, and am looking for some advice. It's been reccomended that I use 1.5 amp fast acting fuses on the tweeters. So I guess my main concerns are whether or not it's necessary to also put fuses on the woofers and if it matters if I put them on the p...

Sweet, I'll try and be there. I've been wanting to check that place out for a few years now, it's about time I do. I'm not familiar with Mitch Easter, but I'd love to see you play, and hopefully meet you. If you're gonna have time to kill, I work at a pretty badass studio not far from there if you'd...

M/S Micing
I just got my first multi-pattern mic and am excited to start exploring the possiblities. I was wondering what you guys usually do when setting up an M/S scheme. I seem to remember back in school being taught that you duplicate the figure 8 track and flip the phase on one, and obviously pan them out...

Well, I still haven't got around to mixing my recording from a few weeks ago, so I'm just gonna post a clip of it as is since I said I would. It's from my new project Drunk Tank, which basically just involves whoever's at my house getting drunk and writing/recording a song. We don't take ourselves s...
