They are all unused 12 foot lengths.

sorry, perhaps it was poorly worded...and thanks for the answer, but I'm really wondering about the channel itself. I definitely get that I need a 1/4" gap or so where drywall meets the ceiling or another wall (later to be filled with backer rod/acoustic caulk), but it seems like the rc itself could...
