It's not coming out the built in speaker as well? My G5 spits out noise in both the built in speaker (regardless of whether or not its muted) and the monitors.
Just try the CHUD thing. I'd be surprised if that wasn't it.

Some G5s have had this issue... look up CHUD and "napping" in Google. Install it, go to System Preferences, and turn off napping under CPU.

Interesting rebuttal to the CD-R longevity issue a while ago
The vendor claims that a 24-karat gold reflective layer, high-performance dye and a scratch-resistant technology will give the new product up to six times longer life than traditional media. Memorex claims a CD archival life of up to 300 years and a DVD archival life of up to 100 years. "Laboratory...

Daede, how do you know there is no 003 and where'd you hear about the upgrades...? Was this at NAMM or...? Thanks They announced the upgrades at NAMM, and I'm assuming since they haven't announced an 003 yet at NAMM, they won't be announcing it any time soon. Not to say it won't come in the future,...

The upgrades are an interesting option (up to 48 tracks of either mono/stereo, multitrack Beat Detective, SLAM!, Sound Replacer) but ar...

I think I'll get the VST/RTAS wrapper... have you used it? Just wondering if it slows down yer system a lot. I have an imac G4, I think it's a 700mhz machine. This may sound like a dumb question, but: Are there any lower-priced EQ/dynamics/etc plugins which sound awesome for the price? I'm just not...

Maybe a Jay Turser? I played one a week ago that was pretty cool, an...
