Re: ADK TC or Marshall Mogami Edition?
Got mine yesterday. Only had a few minutes with it, but holy smokes! Nice clarity with lots of body and a smooth character. Made my dobro and voice sound fuller and smoother yet picked up the nuances of each. I really like it but haven't had a chance to run it through all the paces just yet. Devin

ADK TC or Marshall Mogami Edition?
I'm on a limited budget, so I'm looking at these two mics as contenders for my main LDC for recording vocals. Which would you recommend, and why?

Re: Audio Upgrades... heard of this?
I have. I emailed them 2 weeks ago asking them if they could do a mod for me, and they never got back to me. Makes me wonder about their service.

Small digital recorder for live stereo recording
Right now I've been using an 8 space rack with a DAT, RNC , Aphex 107 mic pre, and a midiman A/D convertor. It works fine for getting practice sessions down, but it's heavy as hell. Does anyone have any recommendations for a small digital recorder that will accomplish the same thing without the weig...

TL Audio PA2 Dual Mic Pre
I just bought one of these things for $90. One of the channels apparently does not work right, however, I'm pretty sure I can fix it. How do these things sound? Anyone have one?
Thanks,
Devin

Re: Biggest Pet Peeve clients do in the studio...
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet cause I haven't read all the pages, but I hate when band members fart in the studio--especially one with a small room. The AC is on recycle. Nasty stuff.

Re: Fender Amp
If you're only concerned about the tone of the amp instead of whether or not it has a blackface or silverface, you may want to buy a silverface fender and have a tech do a blackface mod on it. The circuit differences between the two are rather small. The point is you can get blackface sound with a f...

Re: Rode NT1 vs. NT1a
I like mine on vocals going to analog tape with a darker sounding preamp and a little compression to smooth things out. I also REALLY like it about a foot and a half off the ground and 8 inches away from the outside of a kick drum head. Put an ATM25 inside up against the beater and blend that with t...
