Thanks for the replies so far. The remaster versions I have came out around 2003 I believe. i haven't had the chance yet to pick up the latest remasters of t-rex stuff. however, i did have the slider remaster disc- the remaster from early-mid 90's and i noticed the same thing you mentioned somewhat- how the slider sounded so fucking great on cd, like a plush deep analog sound, with a sweet...

hmm... i can see how your studio having a rep for being haunted can come to be a good excuse for when one accidentally erases a track...just say the ghost armed the track! heh

i was so disapointed with this album. they are, probably, my favorite band. with this album, everything is so squashed. boring. they shouldve stayed with their old producer. agreed. david bottrill, the previous producer/engineer was/is far more superior to the work of joe barressi did for the lates...

i consider the 16 bit cd format to be near-dead. besides the obvious, like higer-res files etc coming out, my main complaint is cds take up way too much space!!! its all going to end up 'virtual' i believe...given the whole ipod revolution and such...it'll all shift from a physical storage hassle to...
