Both of these mentioned are confusing to me. After I download these they are in a winzip file and I cant figure out how to open and use the program from that. I guess you could say that I am not a computer wiz to say the least. I understand this is most likely a boring question however if someone co...

Symetrix 421m leveler

Has anyone used this? I like the idea that it brings up signals that are too quiet, and brings down signals that are too loud. This sounds useful for snare applications. Not every drummer is consistent in that department as we all know. I have done a search and find nothing on this board. I'm thinki...

The point was witch pedal has the best chance of semi-recreating an AC-30's sound through something clean. Not necessarily even a twin. Another words the pedal on it's own, doing most of the dirty work.

BTW I do have a master volume silverface, so far the Radial British model is the best I've heard.

How do figure the date on a Fender twin?

How do figure the date on a Fender twin? Serial No. F079130

I picked this up for $200.00

The speakers have been replaced with Celestion Rocket 50's. (Have you ever heard of rocket 50's, I havent) Who cares though for $200 bucks I would have bought it with no speakers.

Where to find a schematic for 72 tele custom?

Where to find a schematic for 72 tele custom? I thought there was a link on the fender site, either I can't find it or it has been removed.

Should I save anything besides the tubes in an old radio?

I have an old standup radio in my basement that had alot of tubes in it. Needless to say I yanked thoose out to use or sell, was wondering if there are any other parts that might be of some use? Maybe this is a dumb question I dont know. Any thoughts? Transformers?

Wow, thanks for all the tips. I heard a sample of the fulltone OCD, I like. As far as the Keeley pedals go, witch one in your opinion gives the best Vox imitation? I also like the idea of a compression pedal as well, I never thought of a Vox having a compressed sound till some one here suggested tha...

Intresting,... The MXR? I thought that was just compression, does it have any Distortion or does it just drive the amp harder?

I've never used one of thoose either, I feel a pedal spree coming on.

the biggest obstacle in making the Twin have that kind of tone is the speakers. I have a cab with 2 vintage 30's. Would that be a little closer to what would be in a AC-30? I also have an old 2 ch. Carvin head (the X100A, before the larger X100B version) that has a very Fenderesque sound on the cle...

Are you calling my Twin an Aerostar?
No not at all, I drive an Aerostar.

Thank's for the replies so far, I've yet to hear of either one of these pedals.

Best pedal to give an AC-30 sound through a twin

Best pedal to give an AC-30 sound through a twin. Ha ha ha, yes I know this is a ridiculous request. It's kinda like asking what would make my Ford Aerostar perform like a Corvette? Or what kind of pickup would make my 87 Hondo Strat sound like a 59 Les Paul? Well I can't afford an AC-30 right now o...

It could save time by- being able to sample different tones quickly. Sometimes I would like to hear different tones than the one I recorded, like if I recorded the guitar too clean or too overdriven. Sometimes im just not sure what kind of sound would be just right for the song, untill I start putti...

Gonny thanks a lot for the tip, I'll give it a try tonight. I figured this was a total shot in the dark, I am surprised that anyone else even knows of the pedal.

Unfortunately one of the resistors has lost it's solder joint as well on one end. Maybe it goes to the output jack like you suggested.
