Re: Studiomaster consoles?
I have one and love it, the e.q. section is very pleasing to my ears. They are not very trendy right now so the price is right. I've never owned an Allen & Heath so I can't really compare. I can tell you that it's a lot better sounding than my old behringer board, unfortunately that does not help yo...

Anyone in TapeOp land own a studiomaster 16-8-2
Anyone in TapeOp land own a studiomaster 16-8-2 besides me? I have some questions, that would apparently have to be answered by someone with the same board.

Re: Help with my new to me Studiomaster 16-8-2.
First off, I don't believe I've ever seen a headphone jack that's anything but a 1/4" single. My mistake I should have said cue feed. Speaking of the cue sends anyway, why not use the effect sends for this so you can send different mixes to different musicians? I will use the aux. outs for headphon...

Help with my new to me Studiomaster 16-8-2.
I just recieved a Studiomaster 16-8-2 board and it seems that the monitor out has only one jack, I was expecting to see a right & left out. Same with the headphone out. This must mean that I have to use a stereo Y splitter to connect my speakers and headphone amp.... Right? Does anyone else have a b...

Can a 501 get similar sounds to the cl150? I just purchased one a few days ago, it's in the mail.

Re: PRO VLA arrived... <m>
I like mine a lot on the sound's I've tried it on so far: lead guitar & backing vocals. I think of it as sounding silky, smooth, & round not really that warm... Well, I don't know maybe that's what warm is? Hmmmmmmmm, what exactly is warm sounding anyway, yeah yeah I know it's in between cold & hot ...

Re: Carvin X100B amp head for sale
What is different on your X100 compared to an X100B?
Carpet or tolex?
I have the first X100 wich is the size of a Bassman head, rather than the X100B being similar to the size of a Marshall. Is yours a smaller version as well?

not the best rack but old stereo cabs w/ the glass doors work well. I just take off the door.

Re: New! Tube Trap DIY project website
Does the fabric choice affect the sound? Can I use anything or is the fire retardant material necessary?

Who else sells used gear online?
Who else sells used gear online, besides eBay, harmony central, gearslutz, and tapeop. Harmony central must have the worst site for used gear. It's all on one gigantic page w/ no search options that I could find available. It would take a day or so to look through all those ad's and besides that har...
