I just read this *in print* today. You know, like Gabe-Roth-vinyl style. (Seriously, the magazine had great shots of his label's album covers. Very cool.)

Its a super cool record, and I am proud to be a part of the reason it is a progression for Jolie sonically, rather than just another "NPR" sounding record (in my opinion only) like some of her others. Hmm, I'll guess you mean her last one (which I did like, if only for "Mexican Blue"), since her fi...

Joel, any more info you'd care to share about Jolie's new record? I'm a big fan, would love to hear any news.

I really need to check her out. Coincidentally, she popped in the studio yesterday to track some vox. I had never really listened to her before (my wife loves her) but really enjoyed the texture of her voice. For those that care, SM7>1073>LA2A>ProTools. Not that it matters, and here is a pic from y...

Yes, I use it. As long as you have the latest version of iTunes and the plugin, you're good. The quality is always good, it's just there were some tagging issues a short while back.

I am using Mac 10.5 Intel on a Mini.

I got this inexpensive Neutrik model from Redco, and it is working A-OK. Mine is a home studio, about 5 outboard units, a 4-track RTR, and a computer.

Thanks for the rec, I will check it out. I've heard her stuff in the past and liked it.

Also, now that No Depression is history, us alt-country fellas need to keep the others up to date!

First vinyl: a 45 of "Jet" by Wings. It broke on the handlebars of my ten-speed, on the way home from Caldor's.

First cassette: Foreigner "4".
