I just bought the new Elvis Costello record on vinyl -- from Amazon. Yes, "shipped from Amazon". I thought that was weird and good.

I also remember, as an REM fan in 1985, hearing they had hired Joe Boyd to produce Fables of the Reconstruction, and thinking "Who's he?" Of course, I didn't know who Nick Drake was then, either.
